How to Create a Timeline in Unity

Changing between cameras

Objective: create a timeline to change between the virtual cameras in the sleeping guard shot

In this example I am gonna create a timeline to make cuts between the virtual cameras for the sleeping guard shot. First we have to go to Window > Sequencing > Timeline to open the timeline window.

Then we have to select the object where we want to add the timeline, in this case the sleeping guard container and select create in the timeline window.

Next we have to right click in the timeline window and select add cinemachine shot. After that right click in the cinemachine track and select add cinemachine shot.

Then we have to select the cinemachine shot and drop the virtual camera that we want to add in the timeline.

Then for this case I followed the same steps to add the second virtual camera.

And that’s it!!! When we play the game we can see how the timeline run and change between cameras
